A photoshoot

Mummy keeps the camera handy so she can take photos of us looking cute. I have asked her to put some up here.

Thoughtful Carla

Is it dinner time soon?

Does this angle make my eyes look big?

Tomorrow we go to owner training. Mummy and daddy realise that we don't need training, it is them that does. There are other doggies from the shelter there but we just want to sit together. Actually, we aren't that into other doggies. Mummy and daddy are quite ashamed of how growly we can be.

We had a walk in the rain this morning. I am so good, I sit every time mummy tells me to before we cross the road. Jack is willful and looks at mummy. Mummy gets angry and makes him sit. I like it better when Jack sits down straight away because then we get to the park quicker!

Can you see my favourite toy in the photo? That's my pink squeeky and I LOVES IT because it goes squeeek, squeeeek, squeek, squeeeeeek. You get the idea. Mummy found this tough squeeky at the supermarket and it has lasted much better which is good for me but sometimes mummy and daddy take it away from me. They are probably jealous because they don't have a pink squeeky. I am happy to share.

An introduction

Allow me to make the introductions, afterall, I am the bossy one. My name is Carla and I am a Dalmation crossed with Staffy. I recently came to live with my new mummy and daddy. They also brought home my friend and playmate Jack who is smaller than me. He's a Jack Russell crossed with Staffy. I'm prettier than him.

Here we are on our first afternoon at home. Mummy bought us toys to make us feel welcome but we pulled at the beer bottle and broke it within about five minutes. Mummy wasn't sure whether she should laugh or cry. I thought it was hilarious.

Welcome home!

The first night mummy and daddy shut us in the back part of the house. We didn't like that and cried early in the morning. The next night they put us there again. Silly humans didn't secure the sliding door and we managed to get into see them at 1am. Mummy was so tired that she told Daddy to get our baskets and put them at the end of the bed. It worked!

Mummy said that we made her allergies flare up so we sleep in the lounge room now. Sometimes we get up and see them in the middle of the night. You never know when they might decide they need licks from me! If we are quiet we can sit by the bed and wait for the alarm clock to go off. That's our cue to jump on the bed and start the day with a BIG CUDDLEFEST.

I like to make sure I'm right between Mummy and Daddy so they can both have the pleasure of my company. If they aren't paying me enough attention I stare at them. Mummy calls me Missy Googly Eyes when I do that. I give her sneak licks. She squeals but secrectly she loves the licks from the Carla.

Jack is happy to burrow under the covers and go back to sleep. He's a funny dog and I like to boss him around. Gotta keep him in line!

We have two beds but during the day I like to keep an eye on Jack so we climb into the red bed together. Mummy laughs at us.

All in together
